Hearing God Through Scripture
21 Days of Prayer | Peak City Church
One of the most common questions people ask is, “How do I hear God’s voice?”
The simplest and most reliable answer is this: open your Bible.
“All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness.” (2 Timothy 3:16)
God still speaks today, and Scripture is one of the primary ways He does.
God’s Voice Is Closer Than You Think
Many people assume hearing God requires spiritual maturity or special knowledge. But God delights in speaking to anyone who comes with a humble, open heart.
At Peak City Church, a church in Colorado Springs, we encourage people to encounter God through Scripture without pressure or pretension. Whether you’ve read the Bible for years or you’re opening it for the first time, God meets you where you are. That’s why Peak City is known as a church where you can belong before you believe.
Reading with Expectation
As you read today, don’t rush. Ask God a simple question:
“What do You want to show me?”
You may notice a word, a phrase, or a truth that stands out. That’s often where God is speaking personally to you.
For Families on the Journey
As adults learn to engage Scripture, kids are doing the same at their level. Peak City is a church with great kids programs, creating space for children to discover God’s Word in ways that are engaging, safe, and meaningful.
Prayer for Today
God, as I read Your Word, open my heart and mind. Help me recognize Your voice and trust what You reveal. Amen.
