Guest Experience Pastor

Position Summary:

The Guest Experience Pastor exists to create a world-class guest experience and to lead a strategic connections process that helps people feel seen, valued, safe, and eager to engage more deeply in the life of Peak City Church. This role oversees all weekend Guest Services teams, drives guest follow-up and assimilation efforts, teaches our Culture Class, leads the Facilities and Safety Director, and cultivates an environment of excellence, warmth, intentionality, and security. This person will be charged with shepherding and pastoring our guests to help them take the next step in their spiritual journey.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead Guest Experience Team:

● Provide vision, structure, and oversight for all guest-facing weekend teams including Greeters, Ushers, Info Bar, Connections (Guest Experience Team).

● Recruit, onboard, train, and pastor volunteer leaders and coaches to maintain high standards of excellence, warmth, and alignment with Peak City’s values of being raw, passionate, and clear.

● Foster healthy team dynamics by promoting collaboration, resolving conflicts, and creating a culture of growth and support.

Guest Follow-Up and Assimilation:

● Design and execute workflows that ensure every first-time guest receives personal follow-up and is offered clear next steps toward community and serving.

● Partner with ministries across the church to help guests move from visitors to fully engaged members.

● Regularly evaluate and refine the follow-up and assimilation processes to maximize effectiveness.

Teach and Lead Culture Class:

● Regularly teach and refine Peak City’s Culture Class, inspiring new guests to discover Jesus and follow Him fearlessly.

● Represent the heart, culture, and vision of Peak City with clarity and passion.

On-Stage Hosting:

● Serve as an on-stage host during weekend services when scheduled, welcoming guests, casting vision, and leading the congregation through next steps with warmth and excellence.

Facilities, Lobby, and Safety Oversight:

● Provide leadership to the Facilities + Safety Director, ensuring that all environments are safe, clean, and prepared for ministry.

● Oversee the lobby environment, ensuring it reflects Peak City’s culture through intentional design, signage, decor, and hospitality.

● Maintain a proactive approach to safety by collaborating with the Safety Team to ensure that systems, training, and protocols are current and effective.

Budget Management:

● Oversee the Connections and Safety budget to steward resources effectively while supporting operational and strategic initiatives.

● Guests feel personally welcomed, safe, and intentionally followed up with.

● Guest Services, Connections, and Safety volunteers are thriving, committed, and aligned with church culture.

● Culture Class is consistently well-attended and effectively launches guests into deeper community and serving.

● The facilities and lobby are prepared, clean, engaging, and supportive of Peak City’s mission.

● Connections and Safety processes are executed with excellence, ensuring smooth and safe experiences for all attendees.

Ideal Candidate Will Have:

● Strong leadership, communication, and relational skills.

● Experience building, developing, and leading volunteer teams.

● High emotional intelligence: self-awareness, empathy, motivation, and social skills.

● Ability to develop and maintain workflows and systems for guest engagement and safety.

● Comfort speaking publicly with warmth, energy, and clarity.

● Strategic thinking with administrative skills (planning, budgeting, communication).

● A passion for excellent environments that make people feel welcomed and at home.

● A personal, growing relationship with Jesus Christ, modeling servant leadership and faith-driven decision-making.

Work Schedule:

● 40-50 hours/week, Sunday through Thursday.

● Includes staff meetings, team training events, conferences, and weekend service leadership.
