Finding Rest in God
21 Days of Prayer | Peak City Church
If you’re starting this year tired, distracted, or spiritually dry, you’re not alone. Many of us step into a new year carrying the weight of the last one. That’s why the first day of our 21 Days of Prayer begins not with striving, but with rest.
Jesus’ invitation is simple and profound:
“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” (Matthew 11:28)
Rest isn’t something we earn. It’s something we receive.
Clearing Space for God
Prayer and fasting help us quiet the noise and make room for what matters most. When we intentionally slow down, we begin to recognize how often we’ve filled our lives with good things that still leave us empty. God’s presence restores what busyness steals.
At Peak City Church, a church in Colorado Springs, we believe spiritual growth doesn’t start with performance. It starts with presence. Whether you’ve followed Jesus for years or you’re still figuring out what you believe, this is a church where you can belong before you believe.
Rest That Reorders Your Heart
True rest doesn’t just refresh your body. It realigns your soul. As you begin these 21 days, ask God to show you what’s been crowding Him out. Maybe it’s stress. Maybe it’s distraction. Maybe it’s self-reliance.
God isn’t asking you to fix everything today. He’s inviting you to sit with Him.
Prayer for Today
God, I come to You tired and open. Teach me how to rest in Your presence. Help me release what I’ve been carrying and trust You with what’s ahead. Amen.
